Brij Festival 2019 will take place from 25th to 26th of February 2019 in Bharatpur, Rajasthan.
The Brij (or Braj) festival is celebrated every year few days before the eve of Holi in Rajasthan during the month of March. This celebration is also known as Brij Mahotsava which is completely dedicated to Lord Krishna who is believed to have spent a considerable time of his childhood at a place called Brij. This festival also takes place in a grand and colourful manner.
On this special occasion, the people are brightly dressed. Men and women mostly wear colourful dresses. One of the main attractions of this festival is the Raslila Dance which follows the entire love story of Radha and Krishna is shown. They also splash colour on each other. Visitors from far and wide visit this festival. This festival is also a festival of colour as Holi, where people eat, drink and is at their merry self.
